We, at Dare County Radio Control Flyers, wish to extend our appreciation to our event and media partners. Their support has contributed to our club's mission of enjoying, educating, and promoting radio control model aviation as a sport and recreational activity in our local community on the Outer Banks.

Dare County Radio Control Flyers is proud to be a fully chartered chapter of the world's largest aeromodeling organization, the Academy of Model Aeronautics.
Since 1936 the Academy of Model Aeronautics has served to promote, develop, educate, advance, and safeguard model aviation activities for those in our community. It serves more than 200,000 members from every walk of life, income level, and age group, and includes over 2,500 chartered clubs throughout the United States.
Our club participates in the Academy of Model Aeronautics Introductory Pilot Program, and with our qualified flight instructors, we can get you into the air in a matter of minutes to experience the thrill of radio control aviation.
You do not need to be a club member to participate in this program, there is no cost, and all necessary equipment is provided by our club. Your only investment is a few hours of time to see if radio control aviation is for you!
If you are an educator or the leader of a youth group, your class or group can benefit from the STEM disciplines we use to build and fly radio control aircraft. Radio control aviation is an activity that is perfectly suited to teaching these disciplines in fun, challenging, and exciting ways!
Get started today by learning more about the teaching opportunities that are possible, and how we can assist you in getting your students or youth group involved in the thrill and challenges of radio control model aviation.
Our club calendar provides an up-to-date listing of all club meetings, flying events, and activities. Each listed event on our calendar also provides further details, locations, and maps to assist you.
Our flying field mowing schedule for the current year is provided at the link below. This schedule includes an up-to-date listing of members who have already volunteered to assist in this task.
We are committed to providing a positive and safe experience in radio control model aviation in our local community.
To evaluate our efforts, we encourage club members, and guests who have interacted with our club, to submit a review of their experience. These reviews will assist us in our continued efforts to improve, and will provide those not familiar with our club a valuable resource.
